They say life happens while you're busy making other plans.
Christian encountered that very recently when her journey with her Mustang gelding Rooster, came to a sudden halt. Rooster turned out to have severe spinal injuries from his days in the wild and would be in pain for the rest of his life. Christian had to make the gut wrenching decision to have him put to sleep.
Their journey towards the AZ TIP Challenge and Ft Worth Mustang show was over in the blink of an eye.
When another trainer offered Christian to take on her Mustang and continue the journey with him as she pulled out of the competition, Christian jumped at the chance and picked up Tex.
Tex is such a sweetheart and I think this is a match made in heaven. Life can be so crazy at times and everything happens for a reason.
I was honored to take these first images for them as they start this wonderful journey together. I can't wait to see how their journey develops!
