I had the joy of photographing 7-year-old Journee and her beautiful mare, Honey, in the golden light of the Arizona desert. Journee showed up dressed head to toe in true cowgirl style: cow print bell bottom jeans, boots and a fringed western shirt that couldn’t have suited her better.
Journee is a little cowgirl through and through. She rides every day, competes with heart and was even crowned Rodeo Princess. Not surprising at all once you meet her! Her fearless spirit shines bright.
Every session has its own story and this one is a testament to the heart of a little cowgirl.
I'm excited to see how the bond between Journee and Honey grows as they ride down the road together.
